I’m fairly new to all of this and want to start busking and playing small gigs. I currently own a single input guitar amp. My question is, am I able to turn this into a multi input amplifier to feed both vocals and guitar through, and if so what is the cheapest way of doing this?

If I were you I’d really consider getting an amp with two independent inputs as using an amp designed for a single instrument may degrade the sound separation.
If desperate you can buy an adapter that will convert two jacks to one however as mentioned above you may experience a degradation of sound. Another option may be to use a mixer (plug this into your amp and your other instruments into the mixer) and to see if you can balance the sounds but once again these solutions are not recommended
for your purposes of busking and playing small gigs my recommendation would be an amplifier with two independent channels
As you go for the bigger venues you will want to consider a portable PA system of sorts
