Nylon strings on acoustic guitar

Hi Mike,

would anything bad happen if i put steel strings on a nylon acoustic?
like damage to the bridge, neck, headstock, or nut?

    Hi Jad,

    I wouldn’t recommend it. You risk damaging the neck and/or pulling the bridge off. In some cases I know people who have done this and have had it last for a few days before damage was done.

    If you really need to do it and I mean really mean to do it get acoustic strings with the lightest tension and don’t leave them on for too long having said this you’ll still run the risk of damaging the guitar..

    In a nutshell. Don’t do it if you don’t need to
